Hope VanDyk, M.A., M.Acc., LPC

Hope provides counseling to individuals and families. When working with individual adults, your needs and desires will determine our approach. In order to understand and help navigate your current struggles, we can explore past relationships, family of origin patterns, and how our relationship is reflecting similar themes. Adults may also choose for our work to be more solution-focused, wherein our work is shorter-term. Your needs and pace will be embraced and supported.

With children, teens, and families, collaboration is key, and we’ll figure out together how to help your family grow and heal. This can include a combination of talk therapy, play therapy, parent coaching, and joint sessions.

Some of the areas Hope has experience working with are: post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, creativity, relationship struggles, and parenting difficulties. She is affirming and celebrating of all humans, and welcomes every part of you to the therapy room. Additionally, Hope offers brainspotting as a body-based approach to most anything that is keeping clients stuck, both personally and professionally.

Considering therapy is a risky and hopeful step. Please know that you will be valued and honored, as you reach out to make changes!

Hope’s educational background includes a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2003). After years in finance and accounting, Hope was able to pursue her passion to walk alongside others to heal and be free. Hope earned a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle, WA (2013), and has worked with clients in varying roles since then.
